CRICKLADE overcame Fairford 28-8 in a local derby, avenging a 7-5 defeat at Fairford earlier in the season.
Cricklade started by showing some of the moves and determination that has put them at the top of Dorset & Wilts Two North.
From an early ruck in front of Fairford's posts, Dean Young picked up and crashed over. Danny Lloyd slotted home the conversion.
Fairford replied with an unconverted try a few minutes later, and added a penalty just before half-time.
From the restart Dave Leonard was able to sprint in after neatly sidestepping the last defender, Lloyd adding the conversion.
Cricklade's greater possession led to a third try from Simon Howse, but he saved the best till last when he ran half the length of the pitch, passing two defenders on the way, before touching down between the posts. Both touchdowns were converted by Lloyd.
