HAVING for some time observed a notice in Lloyd's pharmacy window begging the question are you one of the one million sufferers who unknowingly has diabetes? Why not come inside for a free test?
So I took them up on such a generous offer and entered their premises on Clive Parade (near the Moonraker's public house). May I say that I have never received more courteous and cheerful treatment during quite a prolonged visit on their pharmaceutical premises.
The lady dispenser was the very epitome of professionalism allied to tactful questioning.
To my surprise, and despite my basic symptoms, I was given a clean bill of health, and happily departed with a bottle of tonic and instructions to consume more fruit and vegetables.
May I suggest to readers that they avail themselves of this splendidly efficient service. Speaking personally, perhaps just a small celebratory intake of a well-known Australian beverage is now indicated.
