A PLAN to build 11 new homes on land at Moor Green, Neston, has raised a storm of protest from residents who fear the rural character of the area will be eroded.
Developers Meadgate Homes want to build seven detached and four semi-detached houses on a site now occupied by a bungalow.
Corsham town councillors have objected to the high density and poor access. They are also concerned about the three-storey design.
More than 22 letters of objection have been sent in to North Wiltshire District Council complaining about the inadequate parking, loss of privacy for nearby homes, loss of hedges and trees and the inability of local services to cope.
But planning officers, who recommended approval, said the site was within the village framework and the density fitted with Government guidelines.
