STUDENTS from the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester raised £4,000 for the charity Farm Crisis Network as part of their recent Rag week.
The cheque was presented by Felicity Walker, chairman of the 2003 Rag week committee, to Anthony Matthew, Wiltshire co-ordinator for FCN.
He said: "We are very grateful to the students at Cirencester for choosing FCN as one of the charities to benefit from their Rag week.
"FCN is helping many people who are experiencing very difficult times and it is a real encouragement to receive support from the young people who represent the future of our farming industry."
FCN helps farming people and their families through difficult times. It runs a national helpline, on 07002 326326 from 7am to 11pm every day.
