A SOLDIER who committed seven burglaries, stealing women's underwear, honeymoon videos and wedding photographs, told a court in Devizes he did not know why he had done it.
Marc Richard Huband, 25, of Denison Barracks, Hermitage, near Newbury, pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and asked for four similar offences to be taken into consideration when he appeared before Kennet magistrates on December 23.
Huband admitted breaking into properties in Perham Down, Tidworth, between July and October this year, and taking women's underwear, shoes, pornographic magazines and books and photograph albums.
Amanda Sawetz, prosecuting, said: "Because of the nature of the items stolen, we cannot rule out a sexual motive."
When interviewed by police, Huband said he couldn't say why he committed the crimes.
Presiding magistrate Stephen Brazier committed the case to Salisbury Crown Court for sentence, because the nature and number of offences were of concern to the bench.
