TOBY Colbourne will be a hard act to follow but Westbury United manager Derek Graham believes he may already have signed an ideal replacement.
Matt Fry was brought to Meadow Lane from Ryman League side Leighton Buzzard last week and was an unused substitute in Boxing Day's 2-1 win at Shrewton.
With Colbourne going to Clevedon, Fry will be battling with Lee Carpenter for a starting place in tomorrow's match at home to Chard.
Graham said: "We haven't seen that much of him yet but from what we have seen, he seems to be a very good player.
"He is about 6ft 2ins and may well be able to put himself about like Colbourne did.
"We also have Lee Carpenter who has waited patiently for a chance all season and I would have no hesitation in playing him either."
He continued: "Obviously I would rather Colbourne stayed but he could not turn down a chance to play at a higher level.
"He is a great player, a great lad and I wish him all the best at Clevedon."
Westbury's win at Shrewton moved them up to eighth in the Screwfix League Division one.
Graham is also waiting to hear whether his approach for Shepton Mallet midfielder Matt Ford has been successful.
