FLICK through last week's Wiltshire Times and find the most attractive photograph within its 56 pages.
A bit stuck? Try page nine, the view along the B3098 as Bratton White Horse comes into view from Westbury.
Rolling hills flank one side of the road, while real horses regularly graze the wide fields on the other side.
Had the camera taken a wider angle still, the far-reaching views towards Devizes would have come into view.
Now please could someone tell me why this is the aspect deemed most suitable to be savaged by an eastern bypass because I still do not understand.
Surely there must be a better way to treat this, our beautiful landscape heritage of Wiltshire.
Long live deferment of this bypass.
J SIMKINS,
Edington.
