INJUNCTIONS against prostitutes plying their trade in the town centre are due to be taken out today
Swindon Council has applied for injunctions against five women and a man described as a minder, at Swindon County Court at 10am.
If granted they ban them from an area bounded by Station Road, Ocotal Way, Shrivenham Road, Fleming Way and Manchester Road, between 6pm and 6pm. Breaking the civil order will result in a prison term.
Four new injunctions will be applied for against Annette Goodchild, Erica Lee Grady, and Terri-Lee Pearce for prostitution, and against Douglas Thompson for being a minder and driver.
There is an application to renew 12-month injunctions against Carina Matysiak and Hayley Cosgrave.
There will also be an application to imprison Miss Matysiak for repeatedly breaching last year's injunction.
On Monday there will also be an application to extend an injunction made against Leanne Goldsmith.
