DEVIZES languish in the bottom three of the Premier Division and their hopes of victory at home to Devon side Torrington tomorrow have been hit by a series of injuries to first teamers.
They have also lost their best player Steve Campbell to Yate and boss Dave Hopkins admitted: "It is certainly not looking good for us at the moment.
"What we need is a bit of luck. We are creating chances but not taking them and leaking goals.
"We have injury problems so I will be bringing in a couple of new players. I am just hoping that the New Year will bring us a change in fortunes.''
CALNE, who halted in-form Corsham at home on Boxing Day with a 2-0 victory in Division One, face a long trip to Devon to play Ilfracombe.
Manager Kelvin Highmore is hopeful of having a full squad available despite an early start to the game, but is not taking anything for granted.
"The lads played superbly against Corsham who were on an eight-match unbeaten run,'' said Highmore.
"We fully deserved the win and the scoreline flattered them. It was pleasing to keep a clean sheet, take the three points and get back on track.
"Although Ilfracombe are bottom, I will certainly not be underestimating them.
Corsham saw their eight-match ended at Calne and will be looking to bounce back when they entertain fellow Wiltshire side Shrewton.
Missing will be the injured Dave Kilmurray, Nigel Curtis, Matt Hobbs and possibly Jack Cullis. However, boss Nobby Bush is hopeful that Alan Griffin will be available.
"We were unbeaten in the previous eight games and got up to fifth in the table, so I will be looking for them to start another run and do it again,'' said Bush.
