COUNCIL tenants have been invited to a public meeting about their rent for the financial year starting in April.
The meeting, which will be in the council chamber at the Euclid Street offices, will give people a chance to say what they think the council should spend their money on.
The council's head of housing finance Haydn Jones will speak about Government regulations and guidelines, the council's priorities for tenants and comments made by tenant groups.
Tenants at the meeting will then have their chance to quiz council staff and councillors about rent levels, what the money is spent on and what they think the priorities will be.
Lead member for housing Coun Andy Albinson said: "We know rent increases can be a cause of concern to tenants trying to get by on low incomes.
"That's why we want to give tenants the chance to discuss those concerns with councillors and officers, and to tell us what they expect from the council in return for their rent money."
The meeting is on Wednes-day, starting at 7.30pm.
