COUNCIL housing tenants have been invited to a meeting to discuss what they would like to see Swindon Council spend their rent on.
Tenants will have the chance to quiz senior housing officials on subjects such as rent increases, what their money is spent on and what they think priorities should be, at the public meeting on Wednesday.
They will also hear from the council's head of housing finance, Haydn Jones, who will tell tenants about Government regulations and guidelines and comments the authority has already received from tenants.
Coun Andy Albinson (Con, Dorcan), lead member for housing, said: "We know rent increases can be a cause for concern to tenants who are trying to get by on low incomes.
"That's why we want to give tenants the chance to discuss those concerns with councillors and officers and tell us what they expect from the council in return for their rent money."
The meeting, which will be held in the Civic Offices, Euclid Street, will start at 7.30pm.
