Winsley had the perfect start to 2004 as they beat fellow Premier Division strugglers Hullavington 4-0.
They are just one victory away from moving out of the bottom two for the first time this season.
Paul Ranger's 25 yard free kick set them on their way, Andy Backman back-heeled the second, Luke Harfield (penalty) and Gary Higdon completed the quartet.
In a dress rehearsal for next week's PPL Presto Print-sponsored Knockout Cup quarter final showdown between Premier Division rivals Westbury Rangers A and Sherston Town it was the Town who drew first blood as they won 4-2.
Andy Wicks got two, including a penalty, Ed Wilkins and Alan Webb shared Sherston's goals which came after Paul Smith and Marc Lanfear had put Rangers 2-0 up within the first 20 minutes.
West Lavington (Sunday) suffered their second 3-2 loss in as many weeks.
Having lost to Westbury Rangers last weekend Lavington needed a victory to ignite their interest in the race for the title but it was not to be as All Cannings picked up the two points on offer to boost their own hopes of avoiding the drop to division one.
Simon Drewitt and Mark Roberts scored for Lavington sandwiched between a double from Nick Oram and a single from Matthew Waite.
Terry's made hard work of dispatching struggling Calne Town, but never looked in trouble as they dominated the match from start to finish to claim a 2-0 victory. Iain Winterbottom and Richard Clarke scored late on for Terry's.
DIVISION ONE
Chippenham Police looked to be on course for only their third win of the season in Division One away at Colerne FC.
With only 10 minutes remaining the Police had built up a comfortable 3-0 advantage but somehow threw it away to end up hanging on for a share of the spoils
Steve Davies, Mark McIntyre and a Lee Bull own goal had put the boys in blue in the ascendancy, but Martin Notman put through his own net to make it 3-1. Jim Fairburn and then Jamie Bowler netted further late goals as Colerne staged a remarkable fightback.
West End Wanderers fielded one of their strongest sides of the season, but it wasn't good enough to prevent them from losing 4-3 on their travels to Biddestone Social, for whom Matt Pratley (2), Rob Pocock and Paul Poiner scored. Wanderers replied through Tom Staddon, Nathan Mantle and a last minute goal from Jon Price.
Darren Whiston got among the goals for Chippenham Sports & Social Club as his team beat The George Lacock 6-3. Whiston notched five, with Tony Falcone's blistering drive making up the total. Tim Culling (2) and Sam Lye replied for The George.
Wingfield clawed their way back from being two goals down to The Horse & Groom, but in spite of their efforts they were unable to prevent the Horse from running out 4-2 victors.
Paul Bendell's and Dave Appleyard's goals for the Horse were matched by a Guy Rowley header and a penalty from Neil Wilcox which saw the scored tied at 2-2. Bendell's second made it 3-2 and Graham Hunter made the game safe for the Horse with his second.
DIVISION TWO
Roadrunners FC's Division Two game with Southwick Sports went off smoothly and to the relief of everyone concerned there was no repeat of the antics that led to their game in December being abandoned after 42 minutes when Southwick were winning 4-0.
Roadrunners were on the wrong end of a 12-0 score line of which former Roadrunners player Steve Ivin helped himself to four, Tom Mann bagged his first hat-trick, Steve Jackson, Jamie Moth, Carl Davies along with a brace from Dan Alford saw Southwick to their highest ever victory in the league.
Corsham Centre's excellent winning sequence continued. Their 6-2 win against Christian Malford extended their 100 per cent record to 11 win from as many games.
Steve Evans drove home from 18 yards to put Malford ahead only for it to be cancelled out by Simon Grey's first of the game. A 20-yard drive from Chris Crome restored Malford's slender lead before the break.
In the second period Malford's legs began to tire and the Centre took full advantage and struck five times with Grey, Liam Ralph, Craig Fullam, Jack Nicholas and Aaron Salter all finding the target.
North Star A consolidated second spot behind the Centre as goals from Tommy Ludford, Simon Vowden, Mark Sharrett and Pete Thornton helped them to their 10th win of the campaign as they remain unbeaten along with the leaders. Jonny Grogan hit Sutton Benger's consolation as they went down 4-1.
Veteran striker Danny Reeves scored a hat-trick on his home debut for North Bradley as they brushed aside the challenge of Biddestone Arms with an empathic six-goal romp. Simon Lunt, Craig Brown and Aaron Salter added the others.
Premier Division side Dog & Fox Ashley set up a quarter final clash this Sunday with First Division pacesetters Biddestone Social in the PPL Presto Print sponsored Knockout Cup.
Dog & Fox were made to work hard for their place in the final eight before they overcame a gutsy Steeple Ashton (Sunday) side, who, despite taking a 50th minute lead through Adam Sheppard, lost out 2-1 with Nick Gerrish and Steve Roddy scoring for the Dog.
In the Wiltshire Sunday Cup, a wonder goal from Tom Pang could not prevent Holt FC from losing 4-3 to Nine Elms United. Nigel Tripp and Neil Grant were Holt's other scorers.
