PURTON moved into the quarter-finals of the Wiltshire under 15 Cup with a 3-1 win over Highworth.
Danny Greenfield's brace and a late Tom Cadden strike handed the hosts victory over their Cirencester Youth League rivals at Red House.
Greenfield went close a couple of times midway though the first half and Highworth had Cameron Holloway to thank for keeping the scores level with a brilliant clearance off the line.
But the hosts did not have long to wait to break the deadlock as Greenfield took advantage of a mix up in the Highworth defence to poke the ball home on 22 minutes.
The visitors levelled things up on 34 minutes when James Penny fed Ben Cowley. His shot was saved but Alex Parker was on hand to hit in the rebound.
Greenfield restored Purton's lead 15 minutes into the second half with a well taken effort which gave Ben Goodey no chance.
Cowley nearly provided a lifeline for Highworth with six minutes to go before Cadden put Highworth out of their misery with a late third.
