Quitting smoking tops the wish list for New Year resolutions and Swindon Primary Care Trust is working hard to help people turn their smoke-free dreams into a reality.
The team of specialists is offering a New Year resolution pledge form to remind you of your good intentions, and keep you inspired.
The newly-formed smoking cessation team is full of advice and support. It offers everything from a freephone helpline to one-to-one counselling.
The experts offer group sessions and advice on self-help techniques to tackle the cravings, as well as medical advice on using nicotine replacement therapy.
Karen Shirley, the PCT's tobacco control co-ordinator and specialist adviser, said: "Quitting smoking is on so many people's wish list this time of year and the service can help.
"Giving up what can effectively be an addiction can be really tough and a lot of people just cannot do it without support. That's what we are here for."
Every year, around 120,000 smokers in the UK die as a result of their habit, while each day about 450 children start smoking.
