THE speaker at next week's meeting of the Salisbury business networking club, Ambassadors, will talk about contact management and the skill of never forgetting anything or anyone again.
Carole Buksh, from Partners in Training, will speak at the club's business breakfast on January 16 at the Grasmere House Hotel, in Harnham.
Networking starts at 7.30am, with the main meeting at 8am.
Mrs Buksh says that all business gurus preach the gospel that keeping a customer is far more effective in terms of business than just depending on getting new customers.
But how many businesses actually have the systems to ensure they can manage the communication needed to make this happen?
The answer, she says, is contact management.
"This system is the key to staying in touch with the people who buy from you," she says.
"It is well known that people tend to buy from those they know and they will not get to know you if you allow them to forget."
Mrs Buksh will explain what can be done by using the Act system of contact management and how it works in tandem with systems already in use, such as Microsoft Outlook and Word.
She says Act can be tailored to suit both business and personal requirements.
Membership of Ambassadors is restricted to one member per industry sector, although those with different niches within the same sector are welcomed.
