SENIOR police officers will be in the firing line at a special meeting designed to let communities have their say on the way their neighbourhoods are policed.
People living across the borough will have a unique chance to fire a volley of questions at the police on Monday, January 19, during the latest police and community consultative group meeting.
This month Wiltshire Police and the Police Authority launched a major campaign to discover what people living in the town think of the policing in their area and what they want from the police.
Swindon mayor and Wiltshire Police Authority member Derek Benfield (Lab, Covingham and Nythe) said: "This meeting is very important. We will listen to constructive criticism and we need representatives of residents' organisations to have their say. The police authority is there to listen, but the force will not be able to improve unless people come to these meetings."
The meeting, which is open to the public, is at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street from 7pm. Residents can also have their say by logging onto the force website at www.Wiltshire. police.uk or the police authority site at www.wiltshire-pa.gov.uk
