A SWINDON lorry driver has been charged with causing the deaths of a family of four in a motorway crash.
William Ishani, 47, has been charged with four counts of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash on the M1 on June 5 last year.
He will appear before Bedford Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 9.
Murtaza Khambaty, 30, of Granary Road, East Hunsbury, Northampton, died along with his wife Tasneem, 31, and their children Sakina, four, and eight-month-old Hussein when their blue Ford Escort was involved in a collision with Ishani's lorry. The collision happened just after midnight on the northbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 14, near Milton Keynes, as the family returned home from London.
