PEWSEY Vale remain in charge of the under 14s Red Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League after a 4-0 home win over Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds.

Top of the table Pewsey took the lead courtesy of an own goal from the visitors and Gary Powell made it 2-0, with Charlie Brown making it 3-0 before the break.

Trowbridge held off the advancing Pewsey until ten minutes from time when Max Wood put Trowbridge out of the race with a fourth goal for the home side.

Amesbury Juniors and visitors Castle Combe Colts were level pegging at the break at 1-1, with Lee Cole scoring for Amesbury and an own goal for the visitors.

The game continued on a level footing with David Hawkins making it 2-1 to Amesbury before Michael Finch levelled for the visitors. The points were secured for Amesbury with a winning goal from Nick Mackman.

Under 14s Green Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers started the new year with their first win of the season so far in their game against Calne Town Youth.

The first half was pretty even with no goals but towards the end Calne went down to ten men after one of their players kicked the corner flag and sprained his ankle while taking a corner.

Jack Trowbridge gave Calne the lead early in the second half before Sam Stevens levelled and Zak Hartley put the game out of Calne's reach at 2-1.

Under 14s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth romped to an 8-2 away win over Shaw and Whitley.

Both sides battled hard at the start of the game and Trowbridge were rewarded for their efforts with a well taken goal from Scott Cunningham.

Liam Richards was next to score for the visitors with a fantastic goal with a shot struck from just inside the opposition half.

With another goal for Cunningham and one from Shaw Trowbridge went into the break with a 3-1 lead.

Trowbridge started the second half just where they left off, with Toby Dawson scoring and Cunningham completing his hat-trick to bring the score to 5-1.

Shaw continued to battle with their efforts paying off with a second goal. Trowbridge piled on the pressure and goals from Danny Amoroso and Liam Milburn (2) sealed the win for Trowbridge at 8-2.

Chippenham Town Youth stormed their way into 2004 with an emphatic 10-0 home win against Warminster Highbury.

Liam Brown (4), Joe White (3), James Leigh, Simon Roberts, and Harry Barnes-King scored for Chippenham.

Under 16s Blue Division

SHAW and Whitley moved up into fourth place following their away win against Cricklade Youth.

Shaw surged into a 3-0 lead early in the second half but Cricklade mounted a terrific fight back, with goals from Liam Walsh and Dan Bailey to leave a tense finish.

Chances went begging at both ends before Shaw secured the points with a fourth goal deep into added time.

Under 16s Red Division

JOSH David put FC Chippenham in the driving seat in their home game against Devizes Town Youth with Lee Blackmore doubling their lead before the interval.

Devizes took up the challenge from the restart and were soon back level at 2-2. Nathan Pritchard regained the lead for Chippenham before Devizes drew level then went on to finish 5-3 winners. Devizes saw a second half hat-trick from Steven House and two goals from Liam Hill.

In their home game against AFC Corsham, Marlborough Town created a string of great chances, but hitting the woodwork four times proved costly when Corsham grabbed the lead with a well-taken breakaway goal.

Marlborough then laid siege to the Corsham goal but had to settle with the draw earned with a tremendous equalising strike from Stuart Cody 10 minutes from time.

Under 13s Blue Division

CASTLE Combe Colts took a 2- 0 lead in the first half then doubled it before visitors Chippenham Town Youth got back into the game.

Castle Combe quickly replied making it 5-1 but Chippenham never gave up and increased their tally to two before the final whistle.

Josh Summers (2), Richie Butler (2) and Andrew Lawton scored for Castle Combe.

Leaders Trowbridge Wanderers remain at the top following their narrow 3-2 away win over Melksham Park.

Amesbury Juniors kept up the pressure in third place, three points behind the leaders with two games in hand, following their home win against Trowbridge Town Youth.

Chris Fowler put Amesbury ahead with Ben Pulling increasing their lead. With just two minutes to go Trowbridge got on the score sheet with a goal from A J Peppard to leave the final score at 2-1 to Amesbury.

Second place Salisbury Juniors ran out convincing 5-0 winners at home to Pewsey Vale, with three goals for Perrett and one each for Hawkins and Dyson.

Under 13s Green Division

VISITORS South Newton and Wishford had only ten men when they ran out at home side Bradford on Avon but were 2-0 up inside five minutes.

Bradford came back with a lovely sole effort from Ed Wilkins but were down again to another South Newton strike by the 15 minute mark taking the score to 3-1.

Bradford came out in the second half looking for goals but their finishing let them down. Wilkins and Josh Smith had two excellent goals between them but this was not enough to counter the runaway strikes by the visitors whose scorers were Aaron Blackmore (3), Ross Daniels, Josh Brown and a Bradford own goal seeing the game finish at 6-3 to the visitors.

Warminster Highbury maintained their unbeaten record with eight wins from eight games following a very close encounter against Durrington Rangers.

The first half was end-to-end, with Highbury nudging ahead 2-1 at the interval.

The second half could not have been closer with both sides scoring to leave the final score at 3-2 to Highbury. Highbury's goals came from Sam Dufosee (2) and Chris Haggerty.

Under 13s Red Division

MELKSHAM Park took the lead in their away game against AFC Corsham but Corsham replied just before the break.

Corsham stepped up a couple of gears in the second half, dominating the game and running out 5-1 winners. Daniel Marshall, Tom Lye, Daniel Purser (2) and Nathan Baines scored for Corsham, with Josh Williams replying for Melksham.

Under 13s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers remain unbeaten and are now six points clear at the top of this table following their 4-1 away win over FC Chippenham.

Castle Combe Colts got back to winning ways with their first win since early November, running out home victors against Trowbridge Town Youth.

James Harding put the home side ahead in the first half with Trowbridge bringing the game level early in the second half. Thomas Cansfield secured the points for Castle Combe ten minutes from the final whistle.

Chippenham Town Youth move up to sixth following their 2-0 away win against Devizes Town Youth.

Under 12s Red Division

MELKSHAM Park notched up their third win of the season by running out 6-1 winners over AFC Corsham.

James Dark gave Melksham a 1-0 lead at the break before scoring a second half hat-trick to bring his tally to four. Melksham's other goals came from Ben Howe (2).

Under 10s Red Division

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth ran out 5-0 winners away to FC Chippenham with goals from Andrew Rendall, David Harding (2), Ellis Fisher and an own goal.
