POLICE chiefs want to hear the views of residents about future Government reforms which could see Wiltshire Police merged with another force.
Wiltshire Police Authority is holding a number of public meetings next week and wants to hear peoples' views on the future of policing in the county.
The Government recently published a Green Paper which outlines reforms to the police service such as merging some forces and creating lead forces for crimes such as murder, paedophilia and complex fraud.
The public meetings are being held on Wednesday January 14 at 7pm at Devizes Town Hall; Thursday January 15 at 7pm at North Wiltshire District Council offices, Monkton Park, Chippenham, and Monday January 19 at 7pm at Swindon Borough Council's offices at Euclid Street, Swindon.
