Youngsters celebrated the end of the Christmas season with a festive party at Calne Football Social Club on Sunday. Children aged between one and nine crowded into the club to enjoy party games and food while helping to raise money.
The social club hopes to raise enough money to start a Saturday morning club for children aged seven to ten. The club would include creative activities such as arts and crafts.
Club treasurer Ann Wright has been organising a string of festive events and said the public had been very generous.
"People have donated children's games and supported all the events. It has been hard work but a lot of fun," she said.
In the last four weeks alone there has been a New Year party, a Christmas quiz night, Boxing Day skittles, bingo and grand raffle, tabletop sale, country and western party and a family fancy dress disco.
The club aims to turn itself into a focal point in the community which provides activities for youngsters.
