THREE new youth workers will be working on the streets of Swindon.
The outreach workers have been taken on by the Clivey Project youth information charity in Cricklade Road.
The workers will be talking to groups of youngsters who hang around the streets of Penhill, Pinehurst, Gorse Hill and Stratton.
Leonie Washington, project manager at the Clivey Project, said: "We want to encourage more youngsters to make use of the services we offer.
"There will also be youngsters who will not want to come to us, but still need information, so the youth workers will give advice on the streets."
The charity runs a youth cafe, where youngsters can get advice on issues such as alcohol and drug abuse and employment rights.
Youngsters can also get confidential advice on sexual health issues from the Clivey Clinic.
The opening hours of the clinic have recently been extended.
It is now open on Mondays and Fridays between 3pm and 4.30pm.
