RE: Peter Heaton-Jones' column (EA Dec 9) Does he give pleasure to hundreds and donate to charity?
For the past nine years we have been decorating our home with Christmas lights for the pleasure of our grandchildren and four years ago we decided to open our house from December 15 so others could view.
We received many cards of appreciation and gifts from young children so for 2003 we added a charity box in aid of Prospect Hospice and Macmillan Nurses and were staggered by the generosity of everyone who donated a grand total of £971.12 which will be shared between the two charities.
We wish to thank you all and hope to see you again in 2004.
If Mr Heaton-Jones would like to slip out of his Scrooge costume and don his Santa he would be very welcome.
