DEVIZES maintained their 100 per cent record in the Bath and District Merit Table by thrashing strugglers Combe Down.
The visitors were unable to cope with the finishing power of Fijians Sega and Manu who collected six tries between them.
Mike McCrum surprised Combe Down with a strong run up the middle setting up a ruck in the 22 from which fly half Gareth Jones spread the ball right to fullback Andy Webb. He evaded the defence to score and trhen converted it himself. Jones added another try, which was again coverted by Webb.
Young winger Gareth Cannings added another uncoverted try to put the game out of the visitors' reach.
From a lineout Fijian Wacqua pounced on a loose ball to grab another try, before Combe grabbed a try back.
The second half began with Nick Munien creating space for Sega to score. He was unleashed again to score from the halfway line. Webb converted for a substantial 36-5 lead.
Sega's speed earned him a further try and then he scored another from long distance with consummate ease. Webb converted to make it 48-5.
Manu brought up the 50 with a piercing run from 50metres out . It hardly mattered that Combe Down hit back with a try because Manu made another break in his own 22, linked with Sega who returned a pass for Manu to score and stretch the lead 62-10.
Another Combe Down error was punished by Sega scoring under the posts and Andy Webb's conversion brought the final score to 69-10.
