SALISBURY City suffered their second defeat by a Nationwide Division Two outfit of the campaign when they went down by the odd goal in five at Swindon Town.
Monday night's defeat was the Old Sarum club's first since their FA Cup exit at Sheffield Wednesday in November.
Leigh Phillips bagged a late second half brace as Whites launched a spirited revival after going 3-0 down.
With the semi-final tie in the balance following November's dour goalless first leg, there was all to play for at the County Ground.
Both sides fielded significantly weakened sides.
Ashan Holgate put the Robins in front on 14 minutes and then set up Lance Lewis for Swindon's second on the half-hour mark.
It looked all over for the visitors when Lewis doubled his tally in the opening minute of the second half, however Leigh Phillips had other ideas.
The striker struck on 57 and 70 minutes to set up a tense finale.
Despite their efforts to take the tie into extra time, the holders failed to add the all-important equaliser and the hosts will now take on Chippenham Town or Swindon Supermarine in the final.
