BOSSES at a centre for MS sufferers hope a cash presentation from a Chippenham charity marks the start of a new partnership.
The town's MS Society has donated more than £700 to the Wessex MS Therapy centre in Warminster.
This cash will be used to fund free therapy assessments for new centre members. The trials help them to discover which treatments will help to improve their quality of life.
Manager Anne Wawn said: "It's a significant presentation because it shows the working together of the MS Society and the centre for the first time.
"They had raised more money than they needed for a specific project and donated the extra to us.
"It will be used to give people the opportunity to try therapies to find out if there are any benefits."
Society members have visited the facility, in The Avenue, which Mrs Wawn said has helped them understand what services were on offer.
"They've seen what the place is like and have found it to be a happy, not miserable, environment," she said.
Kate Sweetman, secretary of the Chippenham branch of the MS Society praised the facilities.
Wessex MS Therapy is supported entirely by its members through subscriptions and fundraising events.
It provides physiotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen treatment and social facilities for more than 100 sufferers.
