THE Salvation Army, along with Superdrug, thank the people of Trowbridge for their generosity in the Pass the Parcel Toy Appeal.
With the tin collection at Asda organised by the Lions, the large donation from Nestle and the carolling throughout west Wiltshire we were able to supply 75 food parcels mainly for families, which included toys for 180 children, each child having two-three toys each, with the total for carolling £2,213,38.
Many thanks again to the people of west Wiltshire for their kindness to the work of the Salvation Army. May we continue to be an organisation that believes in Heart to God and Hand to Mouth within our community in 2004.
T AND H GODWIN,
Trowbridge Corps
