A St John Ambulance cadet from Trowbridge has been nominated for a national award. Rebecca Gray, 16, a pupil at St Augustine's Catholic College, will find out this weekend if she has been awarded the title of cadet of the year.
Peter Brown, chief commander St John Ambulance, said: "It takes hard work, dedication and commitment to get nominated for the cadet of the year competition.
"We are delighted so many talented young people are taking part this year.
"It promises to be a very exciting weekend and I wish all those taking part the best of luck."
Rebecca, who is already the young cadet of the year for Wiltshire, will be up against 46 cadets from other counties in the competition.
If she wins she will represent all 15,000 St John Ambulance cadets in the country at events including charity balls, award ceremonies and competitions and will claim £300 for the Trowbridge division.
