THE spring programme of the Swindon Women's branch of the Workers' educational Association includes courses in every- thing from yoga to preparing for paid employment.
The branch, based at the Health Hydro in Milton Road, aims to provide women with useful courses in an informal and supportive atmosphere.
There are no exams, and the branch says attending is not like returning to school.
Other courses in the programme include:
Self-defence, including both physical and non-physical strategies.
Confidence and assertiveness.
An introduction to the internet and e-mail.
Counselling skills.
Courses range from single sessions to series of several weekly meetings, and costs range from nothing for the course in preparing for paid work to £47.
Full details of dates, times and locations are available from the branch which can be contacted on 01793 618233.
