SWINDON Civic Trust is planning a new project to find out what young people think of the town.
The Trust, which was set up 18 months ago to improve the quality of Swin-don's built environment, held a competition in November to find residents' favourite places.
The entries, including writing, photographs and videos, were displayed at the old railway museum in Faringdon Road.
The favourite place was named as Coate Water, with Lydiard Park, The Old Town Gardens, the Oasis, the Lawns and Barbury Castle also nominated.
Organisers were particularly pleased with the quality of submissions from schools.
Trust chairman John Monniot said: "For next year we're thinking of aiming a project directly at schools and children of different ages.
"It would be good to give young people the opportunity to express their views about Swindon in whatever way they feel appropriate."
Teachers and young people with suggestions about how such a project could be organised can call Mr Monniot on 01793 490936 or email john@monniot.freeserve.co.uk.
