THE DEBUT production by the Penhill Players drama group was such a success that plans are already in place for another show.
Around 300 panto lovers enjoyed the newly formed group's production of Mother Goose last week.
Cate Watson, who wrote and directed the show, praised the community spirit shown by all those involved.
She said: "In the past, people in Penhill have been accused of being apathetic, but I was pleasantly surprised.
"The community was really behind the show, and it was a great success.
"I was also really impressed by the acting talent."
The show made around £750 from ticket sales, which will be used to buy lighting equipment and costumes.
Cate, 32, who is the box office manager at the Wyvern Theatre, is now planning an Easter show.
She said: "I want to put on a play for a young audience, and I'm also hoping to put on a musical in the summer."
