FORECASTERS are predicting unsettled weather for today and the rest of the week.
Although weather forecasters raised fears over the weekend about storms, this morning saw predictions revised to strong gusts and showers.
At their strongest, wind speeds were estimated at between 50mph and 60mph for the week.
Met Office duty forecaster Clive Burltan said: "Today is due to be very wet but should clear by the middle of the afternoon.
"The rest of the week looks like it will be unsettled. The wind will not be as strong as we thought, but there will be some strong gusts it will be more unpleasant than dangerous.
"There may be some damage we'd expect odd branches and loose tiles to come down, rather than trees or cables, but it will feel fresh and blustery. There will be a mixture of showers, wind and rain through the week."
Despite the bad weather, this morning Swindon police said they had not received reports of any accidents.
