FORMER Swindon Town youngster Aaron Salter showed he has not lost his touch as Wiltshire's youth team put five past Guernsey on Saturday, writes ED MEZZETTI.

Salter, who now plays for Screwfix League Frome Town, was irrepressible as the county's under 18 side made it two wins from two games in the South West Counties Championship at Melksham Town's Conigre ground.

The team followed their opening 11-0 win with a 5-0 success over the previously undefeated Channel Islanders.

Wiltshire took the lead on five minutes when left-back Lee Davison rose unchallenged to head home Rick Hulbert's corner as the hosts dominated from the outset.

Guernsey's unbeaten record was all but ended after a two-goal burst with 26 minutes on the clock.

Striker Rob Ivermee scored at the second attempt from another accurate corner before fellow front man Scott Lye rounded off a sweeping right-wing move.

Guernsey improved after the break, but it was their famously named keeper Tom Le Tissier who remained the visitors'star man.

Even Le Tissier was powerless to stop Salter's fierce drive on 54 minutes after his side failed to clear a corner.

Substitute Chris Beasley made it five on 78 minutes as he tapped home following a counter-attack.
