SWINDON Under 17s fought back from a half-time deficit to claim a famous 26-13 triumph over their counterparts from Zurich Premiership giants Saracens.

A strong wind favoured Saracens in the first half but a clever kick, and the speed of Swindon's Ryan Dowling, allowed him through to touch down and restrict Saracens to a 13-5 lead at half time.

In the second half, with the wind at their backs, Swindon pinned Saracens in their own half.

A further three tries, including two more from Dowling and a fine run on the opposite wing by Matt Allen was supported by the steady kicking of Scott Buchanan, followed.

Swindon's Under 14s put in a superb effort against Cooper Avon, but had to settle for a 10-10 draw against the Melksham side.

The first try was scored by Andrew Rogers in the opening half, but the conversion by Jordan Sheppard was off target.

Swindon held that lead into the second half, but Cooper Avon scored two tries, both unconverted, to grab the lead.

However, Swindon fought back and Rogers crossed again, but Sheppard was unable snatch victory.
