Stratton Juniors are the first crowned champions in the inaugural season of the North Wilts & District Youth & Minors League after claiming the under 15 title with two games to spare.

They made sure of the championship on Sunday with a comfortable 6-0 win over Robins.

The game was played in atrocious conditions and although Robins battled valiantly they could not prevent goals from Rory Sproule (2), Lee Curtis, Scott Large, James Baldwin and Michael Scarff.

Stratton will now look to complete a hat-trick of cup wins to go with the league success as they target the County Cup, League Cup and North Wilts & District Subsidiary Cup.

In the only other game to survive the weather in the Under 15 Division, Liden Community were 7-1 winners over Brunel Boys.

This win put Liden eight points clear of Shaw, their nearest rivals for the runners-up spot.

It was second versus third in the clash of the day in Division One.

A single goal from Matthew Hobbs was enough to give Westbrook all three points against Stratton Juniors at Meadowcroft.

With leaders Greenmeadow dropping points, drawing 1-1 at basement boys Ferndale Rodbourne, the title race is now wide open.

If Stratton and Westbrook both win their games in hand on Greenmeadow, all three will be level on points.

Ferndale's scorer in their excellent result against Greenmeadow was Steve Green.

In the other game to survive the weather it was honours even between Wootton Bassett and Wroughton.

Bassett went behind to an own goal and Andy Sofroniou extended the home side's lead with a stunning strike in first-half injury time.

But the visitors came back strongly in the second half as strikes from the edge of the area from Oli Williams and Phillip Forster gave Bassett a share of the points.

Stratton Youth went within a point of securing the Division Two championship thanks to a 5-0 away win at Juventus Juniors.

A hat-trick from Anthony Cacchioli plus further goals from Kane Outram and Ross Walters put the Cirencester side on the brink of a title win.

In the Subsidiary Cup, Walcot Wanderers edged past Blunsdon Colts 5-3 thanks to goals from Jack Lumsden (3), Nick Mitchell and James Stares.

Blunsdon's consolation goals were scored by Lewis Cox, Chris Broley and Nathan Curtis.

Highworth Juniors went top of Division One courtesy of a 4-2 away win at Shrivenham & Watchfield.

The home side made Highworth work hard for the three points but goals from Jack Duckers (2), Craig Bowden and Danny Lee were enough to put Juniors a point above Westlea at the top of the table.

Oliver Bailey and Michael Jack scored Shrivenham's goals.

Elsewhere, a hat-trick from Dan Franklin gave Croft all three points against Brunel Boys.

Meanwhile, Eastville Boys and Westlea Wanderers kept the flag flying for the North Wilts League in the County Cup, Eastville won 2-1 away against Stratton Juniors whilst Westlea Wanderers were 3-0 winners at Devizes Town, with McCullouch (2) and Hillis on target.

Amesbury Sports extended their lead at the top of Division One to six points with a comfortable 8-0 win over Ramsbury.

Sam Aldridge and Callum Coker both hit hat-tricks with the other two goals coming from Harvey Coker and Steven Holvey.

Old Town United Colts moved up into third courtesy of a 5-1 win at home to Fairford.

Two goals for Sam Berwick plus strikes from Sam McVeigh, Giancarlo Carpinelli and Kristian Scott did the damage.

A treble from Kieran Cochrane, two from Sam Jenner and another from Sam Parker gave Malmesbury the points at home to Purton and moved them up to fourth.

A single strike from James Trevers was enough to secure all three points for Ferndale Rodbourne Pumas in their game at Liden Community.

Division Two leaders Wroughton were not in action but second-placed Stratton Juniors kept their promotion hopes on track with a comfortable 8-0 win at Ferndale Rodbourne against the Tigers.

Old Town United remain in third after a 3-1 win at Shrivenham & Watchfield.

Greenmeadow won 3-1 at home against Marlborough, with Joesph Blackford, Thomas Butcher and Thomas Melton-Ruddock the Greenmeadow scorers.
