A dazzling second-half display saw Highworth ease through to the next round of the Cirencester and District League Cup with a 6-1 win over Stratton Youth at the Rec.
Although drawn at home, Stratton switched the game to Highworth because of the condition of the Baunton Lane ground, and Highworth took full advantage.
Alex Parker, Daniel Whitaker and Lorien Bardwell threatened to put Highworth ahead in the first half, but the sides went in level at the break.
It took Parker just two minutes to put Highworth into the lead, forcing Bardwell's initial effort over the line. Highworth scored again on 53 minutes when Daniel Burley cut inside and fed Ryan King who shot low and hard into the bottom left of the goal.
Parker made it 3-0 on 62 minutes after good running down the left from James Penny. Stratton pulled one back on 68 minutes but two goals in as many minutes from Bardwell put the game beyond any doubt.
His first followed a powerful run from the half-way line which culminated in a delightful lob over the keeper. The second followed a goalmouth scramble.
A late Stephen Ware penalty after King was brought down made it six.
Malmesbury joined Highworth in the next round after a 7-0 win at Cirencester Juniors.
A James Brown hat-trick, two goals from Jack Ward and a goal each for Mark Lane and Dan Done put Malmesbury through.
Highworth Juniors salvaged a 1-1 home draw against Cricklade in the under 14 section.
After a goalless first half, heavy pressure from Cricklade eventually told.
The visitors squandered numerous chances before the breakthrough arrived six minutes from time.
Lee Cottom picked up the ball on the right wing, ran past a Highworth defender and crossed for James Lally, who controlled with his chest and bundled the ball home.
But the home team hit back and Daniel Drewitt neatly chipped the ball over the Cricklade defence into the path of Richie Croker, who fired home.
Kingsdown were comfortable 7-0 winners at Lydiard Youth thanks to Dan Keene (2), Josh Stanley (2), Joe Murphy, Liam Stovell and an own goal.
Brunel Boys thrashed Cricklade 10-2 at under 13 level, while Cirencester Juniors cruised to a 6-1 home success against Ashton Keynes.
In the under 11/12 section, Lydiard Boys hammered Cirencester Juniors 11s 17-0.
Ciren's 12s fared better with a 5-0 home triumph against Brunel Boys.
Purton defeated Rodborough 4-1.
