SWINDON Council planners will meet on Saturday, January 24, to consider formallythe Southern Develop-ment Area the Front Garden planning application.
Proposals include 4,500 new homes, four new schools, offices and a further extension of the Old Town Southern Relief Road.
Open spaces would also be included.
The application was originally submitted in July 2002, following public consultations.
The meeting will be held in the Wyvern Theatre, Theatre Square, at 10am and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Lisa Hawkes, the chairman of the planning committee, said: "I hope the meeting will be well attended as the planning application proposes a large extension to our town."
