A saLAD and sandwich bar whose regulars petitioned to save it will serve up its last lunch on Saturday.
Victor Mandryko, boss of Salad Select in Emery Gate, has failed to find alternative premises.
Mr Mandryko said: "We are very disappointed. We had hoped to find some mid ground with the landlords, but it was out of the question."
The future of sandwich bar came into doubt in June when landlord Lone Eagle Retail gave notice to quit.
Mr Mandryko and his wife Margery, who live in Beanacre, were also told to find new premises for their floristry business, Floral Culture.
Lone Eagle subsequently extended the lease, giving Mr and Mrs Mandryko the chance to find new premises.
Although they have found a new venue at 54 High Street for their floristry business, the sandwich bar is still without a home.
"We could find nowhere suitable," Mr Mandryko said. "It needs to be in the High Street, in the middle of the town, with people coming past."
Salad Select sells lunch to around 400 people every day. Customer and student Natalie Darby said: "There's nowhere else to get such good food."
Michael Bryant, property manager at Lone Eagle Retail, said it had agreed terms with new tenant Boswell's to set up a caf in Emery Gate with tables and chairs in a covered area.
