THE decision to allow Inna Haville to remain in the country is a victory for well-argued common sense.
It seemed a long shot at best that the Government would reverse its decision and allow her to stay, but it shows you should never give up hope.
Judging from strongly-attended public meetings and a supportive postbag of letters to the Advertiser, most of Swindon agreed with Inna's family that it was better she live here with a loving family than return to the Ukraine to an uncertain future.
The Haville family have had an anxious two years, fighting to keep her with them in England within their loving care, while uncertain if she would be allowed to stay.
Now they can sleep easy at night, and need not fear the knock at the door.
