Controversial plans to pull down a bungalow at Moor Green in Neston and replace it with 11 new homes have been refused after residents raised a storm of protest.
Developer Meadgate Homes wanted to build seven detached and four semi detached homes with garages, and planning officers had recommended giving the plans the go-ahead.
But 22 letters of objection were sent to North Wiltshire District Council and protesters attended the meeting of the development control committee on Wednesday last week, saying they were unhappy with the bulk and density of the houses, car parking and access.
