THE A303 at Folly Bottom, Amesbury, will be closed in both directions from 10pm on Friday, January 23, to 6am on Monday, January 26.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted off the A303 at Countess Road and along the A345 to the Beehive Park and Ride.
From there, it will be sent along the Parkway to join the A338 at Winterbourne Gunner.
Traffic will eventually rejoin the A303 just north of Cholderton.
Westbound traffic will follow a different route.
It will be taken off the A303 at Andover, down the A343 and A30 before passing through Salisbury and along the A36, rejoining the A303 at Wylye.
The bridge over the A303, at Folly Bottom, will also be closed that weekend.
Northbound traffic will be diverted at the London Road roundabout, Amesbury.
Southbound traffic will be diverted at the junction with Ratfyn Road.
The closures are to allow contractors working on the Folly Bottom road junction to safely lift into place the beams for a new bridge.
