BEMERTON Heath Harle-quins returned from Port-land with all three points despite fielding a much-changed side due to the absence of Jason Ahmet and Neil Cole (suspended), and Carl Jones and Gary Burden (injured).
The game was shrouded in mist which got steadily worse. Late on it was very difficult to see across the field, but the referee allowed the game to run its course, although it was not until the final whistle that the Quins' third goal was confirmed as scored by Stuart Findlay.
Bemerton opened the scoring on 25 minutes with Paul Palmer shooting home after a right wing cross. The home side equalised ten minutes later when a huge kick by the 'keeper bounced twice before hitting the upright and falling kindly to James Reeve who headed it back into the net.
The second half was very difficult to follow as the fog descended, but Find-lay found no trouble slotting home two goals after 70 and 85 minutes to grab the points for the Harle-quins who entertain Fare-ham Town on Saturday before heading to Downton on Tuesday for their Wilts Senior Cup clash (7.45pm).
Heath's reserves completed a trio of victories in the week beating Andover 4-2 and AFC Newbury 5-4 before Saturday's 9-2 win against Brockenhurst.
Danny Aplin scored a hat-trick against Andover, two at Newbury plus another three at home to Brockenhurst and is now top scorer in the Combination League.
