Ref. 28583-26A COUPLE who married across the cultures are looking for Turkish people in Swindon to form a community group.
Emma and Ahmet Sucuoglu want their newborn son Max to learn about Turkey, his father's home country.
The couple met when they were working in Ankara eight years ago, when Emma was a holiday rep. They married six years ago.
Now the couple, who live in Barcote Close, want to meet other Turkish or mixed culture families.
Emma, 30, who works for Nationwide, said: "There are a lot of Turkish people in Swin-don so I am surprised there is no community or support group for them.
"We decided that if we were going to have a life together, it would be in England just because of the quality of life in this country. But we go back to Turkey about twice a year, Ahmet has family there and we want Max to have access to Turkish culture.
"My Turkish is not that great and Ahmet does speak it around the house but Max is not going to learn it properly unless he is surrounded by fluent speakers."
Warehouse worker Ahmet, 37, grew up in Germany where there is a large Turkish population.
He learnt Turkish as well as English and German and is keen for Max to be multilingual.
Anyone who originally comes from Turkey or speaks the language can contact the family on 01793 734042.
