I write to appeal to drivers, especially 4x4s. I was driving along Nurstead Road in Devizes towards town when a 4X4 pulled out from Southbroom Junior School's entrance in front of me.
I would like to add that there were no vehicles behind me so he could have waited. I had my young daughter in the car whose life I value very much and do not cherish the thought of her ending up in hospital.
Devizes is notoriously bad for inconsiderate drivers. This morning I noted a number of parents driving to schools with no lights on, overtaking when not clear ahead in trecherous weather conditions. I would love to live long enough to see my older daughters graduate in a couple of years and my youngest, who has learning difficulties, achieve adulthood but these drivers are an accident waiting to happen and something must be done to make them aware of the hazards they cause.
