THE Government's plans to exhume coffins buried more than 100 years ago and lower them to allow new graves to be dug above them because of a critical shortage of space was sure to upset many families.
The thought of ancestors being disinterred is not a pleasant one. But after we investigated the matter we were please to discover that Swindon will have enough space in its cemeteries and graveyards to meet the expected demand for burials over the next 30 years.
We can now rest assured that there will be no problems here.
