WESTBURY area Cinema Club has something to celebrate after a rally of support from the media and volunteers has led to a dramatic revival of business.
The Cinema Club, which was on the verge of closure due to poor turnouts, has recently sold all the tickets for Calendar Girls, which is to be shown on January 31.
The club has even been able to put on a second showing of the film, to take place on the same day at 5.15 pm. Tickets are priced at just £2 per person and are available from Westbury Tourist Office and the Horse and Groom, Alfred Street, Westbury.
Spokesman Michelle Slade said: "We are delighted with everything that has happened to the club recently. We are simply over the moon."
"The club would like to thank the Wiltshire Times and all other members of the media for showing great support in times of crisis. We'd also like to thank crew members Sharron, Leigh and Dave for doing such an excellent job."
The club has also recently launched a website, www.
westburycinemaclub.tk
The next film to be shown is Finding Nemo on February 28.
