A FUND for vital medical equipment has been launched in Warminster aiming to help patients with heart conditions.
This year's Mayor's Charity is aiming to buy a new ECG heart-monitoring unit costing £3,500 for The Avenue surgery.
Mayor Joan Main, whose husband died three years ago following heart problems, is setting up the fund.
She said: "I wanted this year's fundraising project to bring the largest possible benefit to the town's medical facilities.
"The staff and doctors at The Avenue said they need a new ECG heart monitoring unit and I decided it would be the best possible way to help our medical services."
Donations to the charity can be made to the town clerk at Dewey House on (01985) 214847.
