Aldbourne and AFC Stratton face some stiff opposition this weekend in the second round of the Wilts Senior Cup, writes RAY BURROUGHS.
Aldbourne visit Screwfix side Corsham Town and face by far their hardest game of the season.
Manager Pete Orsi has told his troops that it will be a tough task but to give it their best shot.
He said: "Corsham are going well in the league but you never know, get the rub of the green and upsets sometimes happen in the cup."
Their cause could be helped by a weakened Corsham squad, with Craig Chaplin and Dan Beck doubtful.
On the subject of upsets Wilts Premier side Trowbridge Town reached the quarter finals in midweek beating, Devizes Town 2-1.
AFC Stratton are at home to Bradford Town in what could be a tricky tie for the league leaders.
Bradford have a formidable striking duo in Tom Pang and Adam Smith and the home defence will need to be on their toes. When the two sides met in the league back in November honours remained even in a 1-1 draw.
Malmesbury Vics' tie with Shrewton United was scheduled to be the first game under the Vics new floodlights, but secretary Sue Neale explained: "Due to the recent bad weather a few things more needed to be done, we were hoping to switch on against Shrewton but unfortunately we will have to postpone it and will kick-off at 1.45pm."
FIXTURES
2nd Round: AFC Stratton v Bradford Tn (1.45pm); Corsham v Aldbouorne (3pm); Malmesbury Vics v Shrewton (1.45pm).
