I WOULD like to put some facts to Phil Reynolds, last week's Wiltshire Times, regarding the hole full of water at the rear of the town hall.
This hole is the start of a project initiated to commemorate the millennium for the people of Trowbridge.
A design workshop was held at the Civic Hall on January 11, 2001. Representatives from organisations and businesses in and around Trowbridge were invited, along with members of the public.
From this a basic plan was devised, also a committee of volunteers was formed.
Funds are raised through the committee from various sources. It does not come from the town council.
The Sensory Garden aims to become a registered charity.
We are always looking to raise funds, in order to be able to continue, and complete the project.
We do have a Friends of the Sensory Garden of which, maybe, Mr Reynolds might like to enrol.
Any further information Mr Reynolds might like to find out, he can contact me at the address below.
MR D JOHNS,
West Ashton Road,
Trowbridge
