AFC Stratton were dumped out of the Wiltshire Senior Cup by Bradford Town after a nine-goal thriller.

Visitors Bradford went two goals down after Rick Casey and Gerry Wright put Stratton into a comfortable early lead.

But Steve Wickens pulled one back for Bradford 10 minutes from half-time to give them a fighting chance in the second half.

And, after Gareth Davies was sent off soon after the break, the visitors went in front courtesy of goals from Tom Pang and Charlie Powell.

Stratton fought back though, netting an equaliser from Casey and going in front when Robbie Broadbanks scored from the spot.

But Stratton's hopes of booking a quarter-final place were dashed as Pang scored twice in the closing stages to complete his hat-trick and send Bradford through.

A disappointed Stratton boss Stef Kucynski said: "We were the better side in the first half and even when we were down to 10 men we still regained the lead.

"Not taking anything away from Bradford they did well to get back in the game, but if you score four goals at home you shouldn't get beat."

Opposite number Mark Hodkinson said: "I thought the lads battled well. Sometimes it's more difficult to play against 10 men.

"It would be nice to get a Western League side in the next round to see how far we have come this season."

Aldbourne were outclassed by Screwfix outfit Corsham, who scored four times in 10 minutes to wrap up victory.

Goals from Alan Griffin (2), Jack Cullis, Dave Kilmurray, Jack Herd, Scott Lye, Steve Roddy and an own goal secured Corsham's win.

Malmesbury Vics were hit for six by Shrewton United, beaten 6-2.

A Dale Townsend penalty for Malmesbury and a strike from Jessie Walters sent the two sides in level at the break.

But Shrewton took control after half-time with goals from Anton and Mike Brownless, Sean Collins, Luke Kearley and Ben Helski. Andy Mitchell got a second for Vics.

Trowbridge Town reached the quarter-finals in midweek when they defeated Screwfix side Devizes Town 2-1.

Purton booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Corsham Print Senior Cup at Warminster, beating the home side 3-0.

Steve Avenall and Paul Gillett netted minutes before the break to give the visitors an interval lead and Simon Pugh added a third midway through the second half.

Purton boss Ian Restell was happy with the win but said: "It wasn't a great performance from the side but it was not a very good surface due to the recent rain.

I thought the man of the match was referee Pete Lowe, who I thought was excellent."
