We hear a lot about teenagers hanging around on street corners getting into trouble and causing problems for residents and passers-by.
But now it's time to give credit where it's due and the four youths who leapt into action pulling a man from a burning flat deserve all the praise they are going to get.
Allen Bailey, the man they rescued, says he would often shout at teenagers hanging around outside his flat, complaining they were making too much noise.
When a fire broke out in his Westbury flat he needed someone brave enough to defy the flames.
But with grown men and women standing and watching his unlikely rescuers were four teenagers who threw caution to the wind.
Little did Mr Bailey know that one day he would end up owing his life to these brave youngsters he once saw as a nuisance.
So for once we have some good news about youngsters hanging out in the streets. We scold them for being loud and complain when they drop litter but we too often forget that we were all young once.
Mr Bailey now says he is going to stay in contact with his youthful rescuers and we say long live a happy, yet peaceful friendship.
